How TaskerData works
TaskerData connects you with workers around the world who complete small paid tasks. You post the work, workers send proof, and you pay only for the work you approve.
What TaskerData is
TaskerData is a micro-task platform. Requesters post paid tasks, called campaigns, and workers complete them. TaskerData runs the platform, holds the money, reviews campaigns before they go live and settles disputes.
You can use it for many kinds of work: social media tasks, website visits, app and software testing, surveys, data entry and validation, image annotation, mystery shopping and custom template-based tasks.
Requesters and workers
A requester posts work and pays for it. A worker finds tasks, completes them and gets paid for approved work. One TaskerData account has both a requester dashboard and a worker dashboard, and you can switch between them at any time.
- As a requester you add funds, create campaigns, review submissions and approve, reject or ask for revisions.
- As a worker you pass a short screening test, then take tasks and qualification tests and earn money.
- Your requester balance and your worker balance are separate.
Campaigns and qualification tests
There are two kinds of things you can post.
| At a glance | Campaign | Qualification test |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A task you pay workers to do, such as tagging photos, testing an app or checking a location. | A short test workers take before they can join your campaigns. |
| Why use it | To get the actual work done. | To make sure only people who know the job get your work. |
| How it is checked | You review the proof each worker submits. | You review the answers, or the test is graded automatically. |
| Where to find it | Campaigns in the dashboard menu. | Qualifications in the dashboard menu. |
Tip: Workers who pass a qualification can take the campaigns that require it. Add a qualification to a campaign when the task needs a specific skill.
From posting to paying
Add funds
Top up your requester balance by card or crypto. You need enough balance to cover the full cost of a campaign before you can create it.
Create a campaign
Write clear instructions, choose the proof you need, pick who can work on it and set the pay per task. The full cost is shown before you submit, and that amount is reserved from your balance.
TaskerData reviews it
Every campaign and qualification is reviewed before it goes live. Clear, step-by-step instructions get approved fastest. Trusted requesters are approved automatically. If a campaign is rejected, the reserved money goes back to your balance.
Workers do the task
Once your campaign is live, workers take it, complete the task and submit the proof you asked for. New submissions show up the moment workers send them.
You review the proof
Approve, ask for a revision, or reject each submission with a reason. You have the number of days you chose as Time to Rate to review; after that, the submission is approved automatically.
Approved work is paid
When you approve a submission, the worker is paid from the money reserved for your campaign. You only pay for work you approve.
Important: Review submissions within your Time to Rate. A submission you have not rated by then is approved automatically and paid.
What a campaign costs
You pay what workers earn, plus a 10% platform fee and a $2.00 base fee per campaign. Small optional extras apply for things like a longer review period, drip feed, extra proof types and file uploads. The estimated cost is always shown before you submit.
There is no subscription. Accounts are free, and you only pay when you fund campaigns.
When you disagree with a worker
If a submission is not right, you can request a revision with clear feedback so the worker can fix it, or reject it with a reason. A worker who disagrees with a revision request can open a dispute, and a worker can appeal a rejection. TaskerData staff look at the case and decide.
Finding your way around the requester dashboard
The dashboard menu on the left has these sections:
- New campaign: start a new campaign.
- Home: what needs your review, your money (available, reserved for live work, spent so far), live campaigns and recent deposits.
- Campaigns: all your campaigns. Open one to review submissions. Open disputes are shown here too.
- Qualifications: your qualification tests and their submissions.
- Templates: reusable campaign templates and qualification templates.
- Worker groups: groups of workers you trust, for recurring tasks.
- Exclusions: workers who should not receive or complete your tasks.
- Messages: campaign status updates, system alerts and messages from administrators.
- API: your API keys.
- Switch to worker: go to your worker dashboard. Your campaigns keep running.
Tip: Your available balance and the Add funds button are at the bottom of the menu. Transactions opens from the Money card on Home. Settings is in the user menu at the top of the page.
Common questions
Do I need a separate account to post tasks?
No. Every TaskerData account has both a requester dashboard and a worker dashboard. Use Switch to worker or Switch To Requester to move between them.
When am I charged for a campaign?
The full cost is reserved from your balance when you create the campaign. Workers are paid from that reserved money when you approve their work. If the campaign is rejected in review, the reserved amount goes back to your available balance.
How long does campaign review take?
It depends on the campaign. Clear, step-by-step instructions get approved fastest, and trusted requesters are approved automatically. You get a message when the status changes.
