What a campaign costs

For the proof fee, text proof and video proof count as one item each, and every image proof you list counts as its own item. File and image fees are charged by size: 20 MB costs $0.01, so small files cost almost nothing. The total is rounded to the cent.

ItemPriceHow it is counted
Base Fee$2.00Once per campaign
Workers PaymentYour payment per taskTimes the number of positions (minimum $0.12 per task)
Platform Fee (10%)10%Of the workers payment
Time to Rate Fee$0.02 per dayOnce per campaign, 1 to 30 days
Proof Submission Fee$0.01Per proof item, per position
Drip Feed Fee$1.50Once per campaign, if drip feed is on
File Upload Fee$0.05 per 100 MBFiles you upload for workers
Reference images fee$0.05 per 100 MBExample images you attach

Worked example

A campaign with 50 positions at $0.50 per task, a 7-day Time to Rate, text proof plus 2 image proofs, and drip feed turned on:

  • Base Fee: $2.00
  • Workers Payment: 50 × $0.50 = $25.00
  • Platform Fee (10%): $2.50
  • Time to Rate Fee: 7 × $0.02 = $0.14
  • Proof Submission Fee: 3 items × $0.01 × 50 = $1.50
  • Drip Feed Fee: $1.50
  • Total: $32.64

Tip: Without drip feed and with text proof only, the same campaign would cost $2.00 + $25.00 + $2.50 + $0.14 + $0.50 = $30.14.

When you are charged

The full total is taken from your available balance when you submit the campaign and shown as Reserved for live work. When you approve a submission, the worker is paid from that reserve. Workers see the payment you set and receive it minus TaskerData's 10% service fee on their side.

What is refunded

  • You delete a campaign that is still pending: the full cost goes back to your available balance.
  • TaskerData rejects your campaign in review: the full cost is returned.
  • You reject a submission: that submission's payment and its 10% fee go back to your available balance.
  • TaskerData terminates a live campaign: for every unfilled position you get back the payment, its 10% fee and the proof fee for each proof item, counted the same way it was charged (text, video and every image proof). Submissions still waiting for review keep their reserve, so you can still approve or reject them.

Important: On termination, the base fee, the time to rate fee, the drip feed fee and file storage fees are not refunded.

Termination example

Take the campaign above, with text and image proof, terminated after 20 of its 50 positions were taken. Each of the 30 unfilled positions returns $0.50 + $0.05 fee + $0.03 proof fee (text proof plus 2 image proofs) = $0.58, so $17.40 goes back to your balance.

Costs after launch

  • Raise payout: you pay the difference for each position still open, plus 10%. Raising from $0.50 to $0.60 with 30 open positions costs $0.10 × 30 × 1.10 = $3.30.
  • Run again: a new campaign is charged with the same formula, but without file and image storage fees, because the files are already stored.
  • Pausing is free. While a campaign is paused, the budget for its open positions stays reserved.

Common questions

Are there any monthly or hidden fees?

No. There are no subscriptions. You only pay for campaigns you create, as shown in the Estimated cost panel.

Why is my Submit button showing Insufficient Balance?

The campaign total is higher than your available balance. Add funds or lower the positions, payment or extras.

Do I pay for work I reject?

No. The payment and its 10% fee for a rejected submission go back to your balance. The base fee and other extras are not refunded.
