Yes. Amazon announced on August 25, 2026 that Mechanical Turk will close permanently on September 30, 2026. It had already stopped accepting new customers on July 30, 2026. The closure also removes the MTurk workforce option from SageMaker Ground Truth and Amazon Augmented AI.
Requesters have until October 30, 2026 to approve or reject work completed before the closure; anything left unreviewed is auto-approved. Your transaction history stays available until January 28, 2027, so download what you need before then.
